Album
A ROFT holds one frame size and every photo with its own composition and placement. The frame size stays fixed for the life of the ROFT.
Start with a frame
Create a new ROFT by choosing its frame size, or open one you saved before. You can also drop a .roft file or photos anywhere on this page.
Composition boxes are an editing aid only. They never appear in the full-screen show or in an exported video.
Drag the photo in the preview to move it. The align buttons snap an edge of the photo to the matching frame edge. Padding runs from −2000% (21×) to +100% (half size). Double-click a slider to reset that value.
Choose one or two. With two, the first one you pick is subject A.
Show
Play the album full screen with the screen kept awake, or record it as a video. Slideshow settings are saved into the ROFT.
Time-lapse always cuts straight from photo to photo.
Fills any part of the frame the photo leaves uncovered.
Keys: ← and → for previous and next, Space to pause, Esc to leave. Move the pointer or tap to bring back the controls.
The video is encoded frame by frame, once through the album in the chosen order, and may finish faster or slower than its own length. Keep this tab in front until it finishes: a background tab is slowed down.
Settings
Kept in this browser. The colour theme is shared with other tools on the same origin.
The whole palette is generated from one seed colour. Scheme and contrast are the two buttons in the top-right bar; the seed colour, appearance and background are set in Theme settings (the palette button), shared by every tool on this site. All of them are stored together under one key on this origin.
British English is the default. Taiwan Mandarin uses Taiwan terminology only.
Three keys of this tool's own in localStorage (language; slideshow, preview and export preferences; and this install's id, which signs ROFT saves), plus the shared dtm3 theme key. Photos and albums are never stored.
