Convert
For books made of pictures — comics, manga and photo collections — not for flowing text. Every page becomes one photo, or two neighbouring pages become one photo when you join them.
Open a PDF or an EPUB
Choose a comic or photo book as a PDF, or as a fixed-layout EPUB with one picture per page. You can also drop the file anywhere on this page.
Reading a PDF needs the PDF engine, and it did not load. It is served from this same site at /res/pdfjs/, so a reload usually fixes it. EPUB still works.
Decides which page of a joined pair is on the left. Right to left puts the later page on the left, as in manga.
In pixels. 150 dpi keeps the page's own printed size. EPUB pictures keep their own pixels.
Used for rendered PDF pages and for joined photos. An EPUB picture that is not joined is kept byte for byte.
The link button between two pages joins them into one photo. A page can belong to one pair only. Auto-pair suggests every two neighbouring portrait pages of the same size; change any of them afterwards.
The photos are named 0001, 0002 … in display order. A ROFT opens in the ROFT Editor and the rest of the ROFT family; a TAR opens anywhere. The file is checked by reading it back before it is offered.
Settings
Kept in this browser. The colour theme is shared with other tools on the same origin.
The whole palette is generated from one seed colour. Scheme and contrast are the two buttons in the top-right bar; the seed colour, appearance and background are set in Theme settings (the palette button), shared by every tool on this site.
British English is the default. Taiwan Mandarin uses Taiwan terminology only.
Three keys of this tool's own in localStorage (language; size and encoding preferences; and this install's id, which signs ROFT saves), plus the shared dtm3 theme key. Books and photos are never stored.
